Step back in time to the 1940s and dance the night away at the popular annual charity event, Big Band Blitz. This year's event will take place on Saturday 7th November and will commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two.
Big Band Blitz recreates a night of World War II entertainment, featuring the Jon Bennett Big Band playing the music of Glenn Miller and other big bands from the era. The Mayor of Richmond and other VIP guests, including Australian diva Kathleen McCormack, will join 200 members of the public for this special celebration.
Experience the atmosphere of those bygone days with 1940s period dress and memorabilia, food and drink from the NAAFI, a licensed bar, the Air-Raid Warning, a celebrity raffle, plus a few surprises.
All proceeds from the event will benefit The Museum of Richmond’s charity.
