This year's Lovebox London Weekender returns to Hackney's Victoria Park on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July for another eclectic dance-skewed two dayer from the Groove Armada boys.
Lovebox began in May 2002 as Groove Armada's London Club residency, featuring strong and innovative musical line-ups presented with high production standards. Today's Lovebox is a festival put together by people who live and breathe music and take part in London cultural life to the full, celebrating and showcasing amazing musicians across all genres, be it folk, hip hop, indie, disco-punk, rock world or electronic music.
The festival continues to be a great event for the whole family. With its doors opening at 10am, the Lovebox Kids area is the place where children get their own special section, offering the chance to make friends while thrilling at spectacles aplenty including: circus, magicians, puppet shows and giant sandpits.
2008 looks set to be the biggest and most diverse yet with headliners including The Flaming Lips, Goldfrapp, Groove Armada, Human League and Jack Penate all confirmed so far.
Europe's leading new music festival, The Great Escape, host the second stage featuring music from the year's hottest indie acts such as Lightspeed Champion and The Young Knives with a whole lot more to be announced.
