In 2002, five feisty females won ITV1 talent show Popstars: The Rivals; Girls Aloud was formed and a pop sensation was born.
Ever since they took the charts by storm with their first single, Sound of the Underground, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts have proved themselves to be a lasting British phenomenon with an infectious blend of pop melodies and sassy lyrics.
Following the release of their sixth album, Out of Control, the band have announced their fifth national UK arena tour in May 2009.
