Overview

Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths star in Thea Sharrock's new production of Neil Simon's classic comedy of showbiz, rivalry and friendship. The play premiered on Broadway in 1972 before being adapted into an Oscar-winning film starring George Burns and Walter Matthau and a high-profile television version with Woody Allen and Peter Falk.

Bickering comedy veterans Willie Clark and Al Lewis aka The Sunshine Boys haven't spoken to each other in years. When US TV network CBS invites the cantankerous vaudevillian greats to be reunited for a nostalgic History of Comedy, past grudges resurface as they take centre stage once more. Ageing ailments aside, can this legendary double-act overcome their differences for one last show?

Access
Wheelchair access to the main auditorium is through a side entrance from the Embankment side of Carting Lane. Please contact the Theatre Manager half an hour before the performance if you wish to use this entrance.

There are 2 spaces for wheelchair users and transfer seating is available. Each wheelchair user must bring a non-disabled companion with them.

There is an infra-red system with 12 headsets for the hearing impaired. A deposit is required.
