The smash hit Regent's Park Open Air revival of George and Ira Gershwin's 1930 musical comedy Crazy for You transfers to the West End featuring the original cast.
Manhattan playboy and aspiring actor Bobby Child is the son of a wealthy New York banker, forced to enter the family business but still harbouring a desire for Broadway stardom. After he fails yet another audition, his mother dispatches him to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on the failing Gaiety Theatre. But when Bobby arrives in the impoverished former mining town, he finds both the girl and the showbiz dream he’s been seeking when he falls for theatre manager's daughter, Polly Baker. Can he manage to impersonate the flamboyant and well-respected producer, Bela Zangler, stage a succesful show and save the theatre?
Packed full of dazzling choreography and superb Gershwin songs including I Got Rhythm, Someone To Watch Over Me, Bidin' My Time, Embraceable You and Nice Work If You Can Get It, this high energy production is an outrageously feel-good theatrical experience.
