Billy Elliot The Musical is the long-awaited stage version of Stephen Daldry’s Oscar-winning Brit-flick which makes its West End debut at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Set in the North East against the backdrop of the 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot is a funny, heart-warming and feel-good celebration of one young boy's dream to become a ballet dancer and triumph over adversity. The original story captured the hearts of people around the world when the movie was released in October 2000. This poignant film broke box office records worldwide and was nominated for a raft of awards including 3 Golden Globes, 3 Oscars and 13 Baftas.
The original multi-award winning creative team from the film: director Stephen Daldry, writer Lee Hall and choreographer Peter Darling are joined by music legend, Elton John, the most celebrated UK singer song-writer of the last 30 years, to create the most eagerly anticipated musical of the decade.
Please note that this show is not recommended for children under the age of eight as it contains strong language and some scenes of stage violence.

Access
Wheelchair access is through the second exit door on Allington Street, to the left of the theatre. Ask a member of staff to open the door for you.
Transfer seating is available to any aisle seat. Wheelchair users must bring a non-disabled companion.
An induction loop and single track infra-red system with 3 headsets is available for those with hearing impairments. Please book in advance as a deposit is required.
Guide dogs are permitted in the auditorium and staff can dog sit by prior arrangement. Dogs will be looked after in the manager’s office.
