The Young Vic Theatre

What's on at the The Young Vic Theatre

Founded in 1970 by Frank Dunlop & Sir Laurence Olivier as a theatre where a younger generation of theatre artists could stage productions of classic plays. Tickets were sold at a lower price than other London theatres and seating was unreserved to make productions more accessible. These are principles maintained at the Young Vic since it became independent of Olivier's Royal National Theatre in 1974.
