What The Butler Saw Tickets
A revival of Joe Orton's legendary 1967 comedy, What The Butler Saw, arrives in the West End for a limited season this May.
A psychiatrist's clinic descends into carnivalesque chaos when rampant libidos, mistaken identities, undressing and cross-dressing add layer upon layer of mischievous confusion to Orton's farcical masterpiece.
When psychoanalyst Dr Prentice attempts to seduce his attractive prospective secretary, little does he expect to be interrupted by his wife, her blackmailing lover, a meddling government inspector and an inquisitive policeman. But hiding a naked woman is the least of his worries, as libidos run riot, identities are switched and social decorum is cast by the wayside. Madness and mayhem mock conventional morality, and laughter reigns supreme.
Sean Foley directs an outstanding cast including award-winning comedian Omid Djalili, Tim McInnerny, Samantha Bond and Georgia Moffett in a production that proves to be as irresistable, deliciously witty and laugh-out-loud hilarious as ever.
