War Horse Tickets
Nick Stafford's award-winning and critically acclaimed adaptation of War Horse returns to London this October for a strictly limited six week season at Wembley Park's new Troubadour Theatre. Based on Michael Morgurgo’s celebrated 1982 children’s novel, War Horse is a tale of bravery, loyalty, and the extraordinary bond between a young recruit and his horse.
Set against the backdrop of the First World War, the story follows Joey, a beautiful bay-red foal belonging to a young boy called Albert, who is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France at the outbreak of the war. His mission sees him caught up in enemy fire and fighting on both sides before he eventually finds himself alone in a desolate no man’s land. Albert, unable and unwilling to forget his beloved horse and too young to join up, sets out on a dangerous mission to find Joey and bring him home.
Actors, working with unique life-sized horse puppets created and operated by the internationally renowned Handspring Puppet Company, take audiences on an unforgettable and moving journey through history.
Please note that this production contains loud sound effects, gunfire, flashing lights and strobe lighting and is unsuitable for children under 10. No under 5s will be admitted.
