The Birthday Party Tickets
Toby Jones, Zoë Wanamaker and Stephen Mangan star in Ian Rickson's revival of Harold Pinter's landmark play The Birthday Party which runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a strictly limited 14 week season from January 2018.
Pinter's second full length piece is widely recognised as one of the great plays of the late 20th century. Filled with the extremes of comedy and menace, the ordinary and the absurd, this compelling and intriguing drama launched Pinter as one of the most significant contemporary dramatists.
Set in the 1950s, unemployed pianist Stanley Webber leads a quiet life as the only lodger at a rundown seaside boarding house owned by Meg and Petey Boles. The unexpected arrival of sinister strangers Goldberg and McCann soon disrupts the monotony as their intentions grow progressively more ominous and an impromptu birthday party for Stanley turns into a disturbing and chaotic nightmare.
Please note that this show is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
