Direct from New York's Lincoln Centre, Alex Kingston stars in Daniel Aukin's new production of Joshua Harmon's award-winning comedy drama Admissions, a provocative look at privilege, power and race.
Sherri Rosen-Mason is head of the admissions department at the private Hillcrest School. Alongside her husband Bill, the school's headmaster, she has spent the last fifteen years fighting to diversify the student intake and dragging the stuffy institution into the 21st century.
But when their high-achieving son Charlie is deferred from his Ivy League university of choice, and his best friend - who 'ticks more boxes' - is accepted, personal ambition collides with progressive values, blasting open a deep rift between their public attitudes and private decisions.
