Directed by Sarna Lapine, New York City Center's acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Sunday in the Park With George transfers to the Savoy Theatre for a strictly limited sixteen week season from June 2020 starring Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford.

Sunday In The Park With George is a visually stunning fantasy inspired by Georges Seurat's pointillist masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon On The Island of La Grande Jatte. The musical takes two distinct halves: the first, set in 1884 in the months leading up to the completion of his most famous painting, sees the objects of Seurat's painting come to life in a world where art is everything; the second is set a century later, as Seurat's great-grandson unveils his latest work and strives to find inspiration amid New York's contemporary art world.

Access
Wheelchair access to the main auditorium is through a side entrance from the Embankment side of Carting Lane. Please contact the Theatre Manager half an hour before the performance if you wish to use this entrance.

There are 2 spaces for wheelchair users and transfer seating is available. Each wheelchair user must bring a non-disabled companion with them.

There is an infra-red system with 12 headsets for the hearing impaired. A deposit is required.
