Overview

Following a sell-out run in Chichester, Philip Prowse’s sharp and witty revival of Pygmalion transfers to the West End starring Kara Tointon, Alistair McGowan and Diana Rigg.

Based on ancient Greek mythology, George Bernard Shaw's classic yet provocative exploration of sexual politics and class restrictions later became the inspiration for the musical and 1964 Audrey Hepburn film, My Fair Lady.

Egotistical phonetics expert Professor Henry Higgins makes a bet with fellow linguist Colonel Pickering that he can pass off bedraggled cockney flower seller Eliza Doolittle as an English lady at an ambassador's garden party by transforming her manners and giving her elocution lessons. But what will become of Eliza once the experiment is over and her life is changed forever?
