Brought to life by acclaimed writing team Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Christopher Ashley’s production guides audiences through a powerful and heartwarming tale of kindness and acceptance.
Set in the small Canadian town of Gander, this uplifting new musical shares the incredible true story of nearly 7,000 air passengers who found themselves stranded in a small Newfoundland community when 38 planes were diverted and grounded in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Cultures clashed and tension ran high, but as uneasiness and fear turned into trust and gratitude grew into enduring friendship, their stories became a celebration of hope, humanity and unity.

Access
Wheelchair access to the theatre is via the side entrance on Flitcroft Street, to the left of the box office. Please ask a member of staff to open the door. Each wheelchair user must bring a non disabled companion.
Guide dogs are welcome but are not permitted inside the auditorium. Staff are available to look after dogs in the staff room.
