Following a sell-out run at the Almeida earlier this year, Rupert Goold’s acclaimed production of James Graham’s Ink transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season at the Duke of York’s Theatre.
With a cast featuring Bertie Carvel as Rupert Murdoch and Richard Coyle as Larry Lamb, this gripping new drama charts the birth and rise of tabloid red top The Sun, the UK’s most influential newspaper.

Young and rebellious Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch is keen to disrupt the sanctified traditions of Fleet Street and square up to the patrician stuffiness of the establishment. Quietly ambitious union man Larry Lamb is appointed The Sun’s revolutionary first editor, vowing to give the people what they want. Changing the landscape of the British media forever, the race to win the circulation war quickly turns into a race to the bottom in moral terms, revealing how rapidly ambition can corrupt.

Access
There are 2 spaces for wheelchair users in the Royal Circle and transfer seating is also available. A maximum of 2 wheelchair transferees and 1 scooter is permitted per performance.
A dual channel infra-red system with 12 headsets is available for the hearing impaired. Headsets should be collected from the cloakroom.
Guide dogs are allowed inside the auditorium, or staff can dog-sit if preferred. A maximum of 4 guide dogs is permitted per performance.
