Overview

Following a hit season on Broadway, Sean Mathias' acclaimed revival of Harold Pinter's superb 1974 tragicomedy No Man's Land transfers to the West End stage for a strictly limited season starring Sir Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Owen Teale and Damien Molony.

After a chance meeting in a Hampstead pub one summer's evening, two ageing writers, Hirst and Spooner, return to Hirst's stately home for a late-night session of drinking and witty banter. But as the pair become increasingly drunk, the tall tales and stories soon turn into sinister power games, watched over by Hirst’s to sinister henchmen, Briggs and Foster.

This unique and haunting play examines the tenuous nature of memory, and the primal, aggressive nature of men struggling to maintain their status in an unrelenting modern world.
