Based on the smash-hit Whoopi Goldberg movie, Sister Act is a divine new musical comedy which will raise the roof at the London Palladium from June 2009.
Sister Act tickets can be purchased for seats in the Stalls, Royal Circle and Upper Circle. Evening shows are at 7.30pm Monday to Saturday with afternoon performances at 3pm each Wednesday and Saturday.
When lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a gangland killing she is placed in protective custody in the one place the police are sure she won’t be found – a convent! Disguised as a nun, the diva finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior.
Using her singing talent and unique disco moves to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life and soul into the church and community, but in doing so blows her cover and endangers her life. Soon the gangsters are on her tail, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her new found Sister Hood.
Featuring a brand new score by 8 time Oscar winner Alan Menken, Sister Act promises to be a feel good hit that will have you laughing and singing in the aisles.
