Following the hugely successful sell out 2008 tour, Strictly Come Dancing goes live once again as the hit entertainment phenomenon takes to the road in 2009 for a national arena tour during January and February.
Featuring all of the audience’s favourite elements from the television series, the live show will see eight well-known faces from the worlds of entertainment and sport turn celebrity dance contestants again, competing for the votes of the thousands of spectators in the arenas. Remaining faithful to the much-loved BBC show, the judges will deliver their analysis with their famous wit and wisdom.
The format of the show will be two 45 minute sections with a 20 minute interval in-between. Celebrities and their partners will perform during the first half, while the second half features both group dancing and professional dancers. The winner will be announced at the end.
Celebrity contestants, judges and the host will be confirmed at a later date.
The tour will be visiting Metro Radio Arena, MEN Arena, Hallam FM Arena, Wembley Arena, O2 Arena, Glasgow SECC and Birmingham NEC.
