Following the huge success of previous tours, Strictly Come Dancing goes live once again as the hit entertainment phenomenon takes to the road for a fifth consecutive year for a national arena tour during January and February 2012.
The ultimate in feel-good entertainment, Strictly Come Dancing Live features all the audience’s favourite elements from the BBC television series; glitz and glamour, stunning costumes, outspoken judges and dazzling choreography. The live show will see eight well-known faces from the worlds of entertainment and sport turn celebrity dance contestants again, competing for the votes of the thousands of spectators in the arenas. Remaining faithful to the much-loved BBC show, the judges will deliver their analysis with their famous wit and wisdom.
The format of the show will be two 45 minute sections with a 20 minute interval in-between. Celebrities and their partners will perform during the first half, while the second half features both group dancing and professional dancers. The winner will be announced at the end.
The 2012 show will be hosted by Kate Thornton and will feature a brand new line-up of top celebrities and their dance partners. Confirmed to take part so far this year are Jason Donovan, Chelsee Healey, Nancy Dell'Olio, Harry Judd, Anita Dobson, Robbie Savage and Mark Foster. Craig Revel Horwood is directing the arena tour for the second year running and will be joined on the judging panel by fellow TV judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
