After two successful years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, ZooNation brings its hit production of Into the Hoods to the West End for a limited season. With a cast of nineteen adults and three children, it features ZooNation's trademark narrative street dance style.
Set to a soundtrack of music by artists including Gorillaz, Massive Attack, Prince, Basement Jaxx, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Black Eyes Peas and The Chemical Brother, this energetic show puts an urban spin on Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s darkly humorous musical, Into The Woods.
The story follows two children who are lost in the hood after playing truant from school. An evil landlord befriends them, offering them a way out of the Ruff Endz Estate on the condition they work for him with the task of finding gifts for his daughter's birthday; an ipod as white as milk, a hoodie as red as blood, weave as yellow as corn and trainers as pure as gold.
Join the children as they reluctantly embark on their mission which leads them to the flats occupied by Spinderella, Lil Red, Rap-on-Zel, Jaxx, Giant, Prince and Wolf.
