Based on the classic 1985 film and featuring the greatest hits of iconic pop group Blondie, Desperately Seeking Susan arrives on stage at the Novello theatre.
The exciting new production tells the tale of bored New Jersey housewife Roberta who uses the personal ads placed by streetwise drifter Susan and her freewheeling boyfriend Jay to escape from her ordinary humdrum life. But a twist of fate sees Roberta and Susan swap lives, plunging them into a world of jewel heists, magic shows and rock ‘n’ roll. The collision of their identities takes them on a journey of transformation and discovery until they realise that just when you think you know where your life is heading, something magical happens and turns it all around.
Alongside classic Blondie songs including Call Me, Heart Of Glass, Rapture, One Way Or Another, The Tide is High and Atomic, the production will also feature a new song, Moment of Truth, written especially for the production by Deborah Harry.
