Peter Hall's highly anticipated revival of Noël Coward’s classic farce, Hay Fever, will play a strictly limited 18 week season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket starring Dame Judi Dench, Peter Bowles, Belinda Lang and Kim Medcalf.
Set in the 1920's, the story centres around the eccentric Bliss family who live an idyllic, bohemian life in the country. Judith, a recently retired stage actress, David, a self-absorbed novelist, and their two equally unconventional children live in a world where reality slides easily into fiction. When each member of the family invites an unwitting guest for the weekend without warning the others, comedic chaos ensues as the visitors become pawns in the family’s emotional, madcap games.
