Peter Stein’s critically acclaimed production of David Harrower’s Blackbird transfers to the Albery Theatre in February for a strictly limited season.

Blackbird is an electrifying, dark, intense new play which tells the story of an abandoned and unconventional love. Ray is confronted with his past when Una arrives unannounced at his office. Guilt, anger and raw emotions run high as they recollect the passionate love affair they had 15 years earlier.

Ray has made a new life for himself; he has a new identity and didn't think he could be found. Una has thought of nothing else, and on finding a photo of him, she sets out to find Ray with shattering consequences.

Award-winning actors Roger Allam and Jodhi May recreate their roles as Ray and Una.
