English National Ballet's magical production of The Nutcracker returns to The London Coliseum for the seventh successive year in December.
The Nutcracker is a Christmas fairy tale about Clara, her Nutcracker doll and the magician Drosselmeyer. The ballet tells the story of their amazing adventures in the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets. It's the experience of a lifetime: witness Clara battling with a Mouse King, flying on an origami bird, dancing with snowflakes and falling in love with a handsome Prince. The eternally popular Tchaikovsky score includes the famous 'Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy' and many other favourites.
With fantastic designs from renowned caricaturist Gerald Scarfe and exuberant choreography by Christopher Hampson, The Nutcracker features English National Ballet's company of 64 world-class dancers and full orchestra in a colourful, entertaining night out for everyone.
