Martin Shaw stars in Robert Bolt's Tony award-winning play, A Man For All Seasons, as it comes to the Theatre Royal Haymarket for a strictly limited run.

When Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon, is unable to produce an heir to the throne he uses this as a pretext for divorce – allowing him to marry his newest conquest, Anne Boleyn. Needing societal and religious approval, Henry seeks the support of Sir Thomas More: lawyer, writer, scholar and churchman, only for More’s crucible of moral standards – against the personal pride and political salvation-seeking of Henry VIII – to lead to a choice between his own integrity and certain death...
