The 2008 Edinburgh Military Tattoo celebrates over 50 years of music and spectacle set against the majestic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
The Edinburgh Tattoo is one of the most spectacular shows in the world, enjoyed by an international television audience of over 100 million. But there's no substitute for being there as part of the 217,000-strong audience over its three-week season on the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle.
This year's military musical extravaganza will have even more of the traditionally preferred elements, including a celebration of the Army in Scotland. The world-renowned Massed Pipes & Drums together with the impressive Massed Military Bands featuring the Household Cavalry’s Mounted Band of The Blues and Royals and The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland are amongst those who will gather for Scotland’s sensational 58th Edinburgh Tattoo.
The 90-minute production will also include contributions from performers from the Far East, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Joining them will be the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums from Massachusetts, an international Massed Highland Dance Troupe and the haunting lament of the Lone Piper.
Over 1000 performers will combine with highly sophisticated 21st century production technology to provide a unique and memorable spectacle of music, colour and action.
Exclusive hotel packages are also available.
Please note that if you choose to collect your tickets, they must be collected from the Tattoo Office at 32 Market Street, Edinburgh on the day of the performance.
