London Duck Tours offers more than just a sightseeing tour - it's an exciting road and river adventure appealing to visitors of all ages!
Departing from County Hall, the amphibious vehicles drive past famous London landmarks including Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus before a dramatic launch into the Thames from a slipway at Vauxhall for the water borne part of the 75 minute tour.
The excitement of seeing the capital in this novel way is enhanced by an entertaining, action packed commentary by character guides providing an alternative view of London's history, plus fascinating facts and figures about the Duck vehicles themselves.
The amphibious craft were first used for the D-Day landings when more than 21,000 were built to take the troops ashore. Ready for action, today's vehicles bear little resemblance to their military predecessors in their eye catching yellow livery. An initial fleet of five vehicles have been totally rebuilt to meet stringent safety regulations and the vehicles have been extensively refurbished and fitted with the latest environnmentally friendly diesel engines. The deluxe refits include ducted heating, comfortable seating for 30 passengers, a public address system and full safety equipment.
