Simon Cowell plotting X-Factor musical?

19th September 2011

You may be wondering what TV mogul Simon Cowell has been working on as the latest version of the mega-ratings puller X-factor takes to the airwaves with its creator absent from the infamous judging panel.

If reports are to be believed, Cowell is planning to add to his showbiz millions by creating a musical based on the TV talent show which has already produced a number of artists who have taken to the stage.

Cowell is said to be working with TV comedian Harry Hill on the show's book with music being provided by Spend Spend Spend composer and record producer, Steve Brown. The Daily Record quotes him as saying he wants a "funny" musical, with "songs people might sing along to, but also laugh along with".
